This year was sweet pineapple craft

May Family Homework is pretty sweet!  Learn more about this end of the year craft and writing activity perfect for kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.

What is Family Homework?

If you’re new here, welcome!  Let me tell you about family homework in a nutshell.  Each month during the school year, I send home a fun family homework project that students and their grownups complete together at home.  The best part is that when they return it, you’ve got an instant bulletin board for the month!

May Family Homework

This May Family Homework resource has officially completed the Yearly Family Homework Bundle.  The theme is “This Year Was Sweet.”  It includes a parent letter explaining the directions, pineapple craft templates, tons of bulletin board decor, and a class book cover and an additional writing prompt.

End of the Year Craft

You’ll print and send home the parent letter along with a black and white pineapple template and a writing template.  Step-by-step Directions are provided for the parents.  When the kids bring their end of the year craft back, allow them to share it with the class and read why they thought the year was sweet.  Display for a final bulletin board of the month with the included letters and decor.  If you have a Spring Open House like we do, this would be the perfect bulletin board to showcase.

NOTE:  While this was designed as family homework, you can always opt to complete the craft and writing in class if you prefer.

If you’re ready to give this sweet end of the year craft a try, you can find it in my tpt store.  You can also save when purchasing the Family Homework Yearly Bundle.

I would love to hear from you or see pictures if you use this resource in your classroom.  I’m always amazed at how teachers put their own unique touches on your bulletin board displays.  Please tag me on Instagram @kindergartenkornerbycasey or email me at casey@kindergartenkorner.com and I will feature your board!

Have a wonderful last month of school.  Enjoy your summer.  You deserve it!
