If you are looking for Fall ideas for Kindergarten, you’ve come to the right place. In this blog post, I will share 5 of my favorite activities that I do with my Kindergarten students during September and October…
1. Football Goal Writing
I love kicking off the school year by having my students set goals. This Football Themed Writing Resource includes differentiated writing templates for students to create a personal goal. A family homework letter is included as well if you want to send home the football player to color at home like I do. I complete the football writing at school and have the kids paint the football field background. It makes the perfect first bulletin board of the year with the lettering shown!
2. Fall Bushy Tailed Squirrels and Acorn Writing
Another favorite Fall project is my Fall Squirrels and Acorn Writing Resource . I promise this one will not disappoint! Like almost all of my bulletin board activities, I love when crafts integrate fine motor skills, writing, and art into one lesson! Students cut, draw, and pinch tissue paper using those oh, so important fine motor skills. They complete the acorn writing with assistance if needed. I have done the acorns in brown one year and I used Astrobrights the following year. Both come out great, but I do love the bright colors using the Astrobrights. The “We’re Nuts About Fall” lettering is included in this Fall resource to complete your bulletin board display!
3. Apple Activities
What is Fall in Kindergarten without some apple activities? After having an apple tasting, students complete this writing page. I display it as a bulletin board first. When I take it down, I combine the pages into a class book. My students love reading our class books again and again! The “We Like Apples” is a freebie in my TPT Store and you can purchase the Apple Writing and Class Book HERE. This one is great for Johnny Appleseed Day!
4. The Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch
Next on the list is this Halloween favorite, The Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch. Like the football activity, I send this one home for homework. A parent letter is included for you to simply print and send home. The best part about this is that the students do the work at home and you’ve got an instant bulletin board! When the kids bring back their decorated pumpkins, I do a writing activity that I place directly beneath their pumpkin to create a flip craft. Pumpkin writing templates are included along with the lettering shown here. The kids and families have so much fun with this one!
5. Halloween Candy Bulletin Board
Last on the list is my Trick or Treat Bulletin Board. Students write about their favorite candy and color the candy bucket to create another flip craft! The candy corn lettering is the perfect finishing touch to this October bulletin board display!
