March Activities for Kindergarten and First Grade
Last year, I began creating monthly bundles of all the resources that I use in my kindergarten classroom each month. Little did I know that these bundles would literally save my life during the 2020-2021 school year. Having all of my resources in one zip file allows me to print out everything I need for the month in minutes. In this blog post, I’m sharing 20 March Activities for Kindergarten and 1st that are all included in my March MEGA Bundle.
Author of the Month Activities
A bundle within a bundle – The first 9 activities on the list come from my March Author of the Month Birthday Bundle to honor Theodor Seuss Geisel better known as Dr. Seuss. These book companion lessons are perfect for Read Across America Week. I begin the week with an author study. We also integrate the theme into rhyming activity books, math fact family books, math addition facts books, rhyming word family hats, persuasive writing, and more. You can see the full preview for this product in my TPT store.
St. Patrick’s Day Writing Bulletin Board Displays
You can’t go wrong with rainbows and pots of gold. Shown below are two of my St. Patrick’s Day Bulletin Board Bundles along with shamrock writing templates. Read more about how I celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with my students HERE.
Spring Bulletin Board Displays
These 3D tulips are one of my absolute favorite spring activities. They look amazing, and I love that they double as a writing activity!
Journal Writing for the Entire Month
My monthly writing journals are another thing that has saved my sanity this school year. Writing for the entire month is complete with these print and go journals. Having these on hand helps me to ensure that my kids are writing every single day!
Women’s History Month Flip Books
Celebrate Women’s History Month in March with these flip books that can be used with any woman of your choice. Please note that the research is not included.
Spring Writing & Science Resources
My Spring Senses Writing Mini-books are a great way to integrate writing and science! My “What Spring Means to Me” is another great writing resource to have on hand this month!
Overall, I hope this post has given you some ideas for March Activities for Kindergarten and First Grade. You can find all of these products sold separately in my TPT store, or save big with the bundle!
I hope that you are doing the best you can this school year. Spring means the end is in sight!
